Letting someone into your home for the first time is a big step. Knowing exactly what will happen makes it a lot easier. Here is how a first cleaning works with WellMaid, from the first message to the final walk-through.

1. A free estimate, reviewed personally

It starts with the estimate form: the type of cleaning, the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, the approximate square footage, and anything else we should know. There is no instant online quote. We look at the details of your home first, then reply by text or email with a clear, free estimate.

2. Choosing a date

Cleaning appointments run Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and weekend appointments may be available on request. If you need a specific arrival time, let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate it.

For the first appointment of the day, the team arrives at the scheduled time. Later appointments may have a one hour arrival window to allow for traffic, parking, and the length of earlier visits. If a significant delay comes up, we will keep you informed.

3. A little preparation

You do not need to clean before we arrive. A few minutes of tidying, such as clearing countertops and picking up floors, lets the team reach more surfaces. Our preparation guide has a short checklist, and if you have animals at home, read Cleaning With Pets at Home.

If you will not be home, arrange a door code, key, lockbox, or another approved way in. Access information is kept private and used only for the service.

4. The cleaning itself

The team arrives with its own professional tools and products: vacuums, mops, microfiber cloths, and cleaning solutions. We clean only with green, eco-friendly products, with priority given to certified ones, and a scent-free option is available on request.

Each room is cleaned systematically from a written checklist, so nothing depends on memory. For safety, the team does not move heavy furniture or appliances or climb on counters, and uses extension tools to reach high areas whenever possible.

5. If the home is different than expected

Every home is different. If the condition, size, or scope turns out to be significantly different from what was described, we talk with you before making any change to the service or the price. You are never charged for additional work without your knowledge and approval.

6. After the visit

Take a look around once the team is done. If something was missed, contact us promptly, describe the area, and include a photo if it helps. When appropriate, we arrange a follow-up cleaning of that specific area at no additional charge.

7. Payment and scheduling changes

After the service, you may receive an invoice or a secure payment link by text or email. Accepted methods may include credit and debit cards, ACH transfers, and other approved electronic payments, and the terms are confirmed when your service is scheduled.

Plans change. Please give at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule.

All of this is written out in our Customer Guidelines, so you can read it at your own pace.
